Application Requirements

The BHEAL program is open to both full-time and part-time students from all areas of focus in the MSW program. Eligible students can apply for BHEAL in the Spring semester before their final year in the program. Students must meet the following requirements to apply:

• Have not completed their advanced field placement
• Be in good academic standing
• Be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States

Application Process and Timeline

Applications for the BHEAL program open in January when students are in the process of applying for their advanced field placement. The application process includes two components: applying to the BHEAL program through the Department of Social Work AND applying to interview at BHEAL partner agencies. Students must be accepted by both the department and a BHEAL partner agency in order to be accepted into BHEAL for their final year in the program. Students are notified of their acceptance into BHEAL in the Summer after placements have been made.
